Mary Schmitt Boyer is an Ohioan who has spent her career covering sports in the state.  She’s an award-winning sports reporter and feature writer for The Plain Dealer who has served as president of the Association for Women in Sports Media.  She’s coauthored four other sports books, including the autobiography of another Ohio sports legend, Wayne Embry’s The Inside Game.
