Millions of Mets fans have listened to the signature calls of Howie Rose over the past several years, announcing the games as he sees them from his box in Citi Field. Rose knows the team backwards and forwards, knows its history-having written some of it himself-and with that knowledge is able to tell the team's story like no other individual.
In Put It In the Book!: A Half-Century of Mets Mania by Howie Rose and Phil Pepe, the lifelong fan and Mets broadcaster takes fans behind the microphone and into the locker room of one of New Yorks greatest teams. Through humor and honesty, Rose and Pepe sift through over 50 years of Mets history to bring you the facts while forecasting the team's upcoming 2013 campaign in an easy-to-read format. Alongside a foreword by Hall of Fame member and broadcasting legend Marv Albert, Put It In the Book! features first-hand accounts from several incredible moments in the Amazins' history-from the greatness of Tom Seaver to Johan Santana's recent no-no-that will leave fans ready for the 2013 season.
Honest, funny and insightful, Put It In the Book! gives Mets fans a behind-the-curtain look at their favorite franchise from the voice of the Mets himself. Perfect for Mets and baseball fans, this book is the best source for all-things Mets in 2013 and beyond.
