Overview

Giving NASCAR fans the opportunity to catch a rare glimpse inside the personal lives of their favorite drivers and owners, these stunning black-and-white photographs capture the homes, lives, families, and hobbies of NASCAR heroes away from the track. The book includes photos of Tony Stewart displaying his need for speed in his free time while on his motorcycle, Richard Childress exhibiting his other pleasure in life—Childress Vineyards, Michael Waltrip providing coaching tips to his daughter about her golf game, Dale Earnhardt Jr. shooting a ball into the corner pocket during a game of pool, and Rusty Wallace gearing up to fly his plane, among many others. Portraits of NASCAR slows down the pace and provides a firsthand look at how drivers go about their everyday lives and interact with their families on a regular basis as devoted fathers, husbands, and friends. Fans will finally see the drivers in a different setting away from the world that is NASCAR.
