About the Author:
Ed Gruver is an award-winning writer in his 28th year covering sports. A native of North Jersey, he is a sportswriter for the Intelligencer Journal, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has covered the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia 76ers. He is the author of four other books - The Ice Bowl; The History of the American Football League; Nitschke; and Koufax - and was a contributing writer to Total Football I and Total Football II. His articles have appeared in national magazines, and he is a member of the Pro Football Researchers Association. A graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, Gruver lives in Lancaster with his wife Michelle, and their daughters, Patty and Katherine.
