About the Authors:

Marshall Smith has taught the game of golf for over 50 years. His techniques blend time-honored instruction with a skill for breaking down the complex demands of the golf swing into simple, repeatable parts. From his early days learning the game from Ky Laffoon (a contestant in the very first Masters Tournament), to his ongoing tenure as PGA Tour instructor (where he has taught Chi Chi Rodriguez, Craig Stadler, Gary Player, Walt Zembriski as well as current PGA Tour stars Todd Fischer, Glen Day, and Matt Gogel) to the local pro doling out private lessons to neighbors and friends across the country, Marshall has adhered to this approach. He teaches at Peoria Ridge Golf Club in Miami, Oklahoma, a seven-iron from his childhood home of Quapaw. His previous books include Hit Your Second Shot First and My Very Best Friend, an homage to lifelong companion, Mickey Mantle.
