Captures, game-by-game in insightful words and riveting images, the Patriots' indomitable march to their fourth Super Bowl triumph This ultimate comeback story is recounted in PUMPED, produced by the Boston Globe, which has chronicled the team's fortunes for New England sports fans since the team's inception, and never more thoroughly than in 2014. The 2014 Patriots rallied from a humiliating loss in Week 4—which pundits gleefully pointed to as the first sign of their decline—to reel off seven straight victories and establish themselves once again as the AFC's top team and the league's model of consistency. This 128-page book also offers perspective on the Patriots' seven previous visits to football's ultimate spectacle. As PUMPED painstakingly describes it, their road to Title No. 4 was marked by controversy and seeming chaos, but the Patriots cut through the distractions to do their job, again, better than anyone else.Author Biography

128-Page Book from the Boston Globe and Triumph Books
Brings to Life the Historic Season and the First Super Bowl Win in a Decade
Boston, Feb. 2, 2015 – “Pumped: The Patriots Are Four-Time Super Bowl Champs” – a book published by The Boston Globe and Triumph Books – provides a comprehensive look at the Patriots’ journey to capture the Lombardi Trophy for the fourth time, complete with a review of the season (Deflategate and all), analysis of the team and the sport, vibrant color photographs, and more.
The 128-page paperback book includes Boston Globe print content and photography, and builds on the work of the award-winning sports staff of The Boston Globe – Chris Gasper, Dan Shaughnessy, Shalise Manza Young, Ben Volin, John Powers, and more. The book profiles the most successful coach-quarterback duo in NFL history, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, and their redemption in Glendale, Ariz., where their dreams of a 19-0 season were shattered in 2009.
“The Globe has been covering the team’s troubles and triumphs since it was founded in 1960,” said Janice Page, the editor of the book. “There’s no other news outlet with that same in-depth perspective, extensive coverage, and keen ability to analyze this unforgettable season.”
The 2014-2015 team and season are chronicled, including the controversies the team faced and how they overcame them to win the biggest game of all. The team’s roster and notable moments from every game of the regular season – including the humiliating loss in Week 4 that left many saying the demise of the Pats was looming – are rounded up, along with the highlights of the AFC and Divisional playoffs. The Patriots’ previous seven Super Bowl match-ups are also revisited in a spectacular retrospective section.
“This season was more than the now infamous Deflategate. We want our readers to have access to the ups and downs and ins and outs from the beginning, and that’s what this book provides,” said Boston Globe sports editor Joe Sullivan.
Beyond this season, the Globe digs into the archives with nostalgic black-and-white and stunning color photos from Globe photographers throughout the years.
The book is now available for purchase at www.triumphbooks.com/pumped and at all online book sellers for the cost of $14.95. It will also be available in retail stores where books are sold, beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
